Where are you God?

Many Christians have asked the question "where are you God?" The atheist's sight this apparent absence as a reason not to believe in God. So many people are suffering right now and God is no where to be found. I personally have been reaching out to God for years about a particular matter that is still unresolved. Let me tell you, anger is not even the word to describe the way I feel most days. It feels as though God has abandoned me or that he just does not care. A lot of people use the argument of, why should I have anything to do with God when he wants nothing to do with me? Someone could be born with a deformity, mental illness, or any other unfortunate problem, and live a life of pure misery. These people struggle to get through each day, being mocked and harassed, because no one cares about them. It is a hard road to go down, with little sympathy from others. These people feel all alone in this world, like some cruel joke is being played on them. In their struggle to figure things out, they reach out to God for help. Some of these people get saved, others don't, but they all pray to God. They beg and plead with him to change their situation. They hold on to hope for years, but their prayers go unanswered. God is still in the miracle business, I fully believe that, but those miracles can be like winning the lottery. For all the losers, the consolation prize is more pain and suffering. It gets to the point where they just throw in the towel and give up. They can develop a burning hatred of God. They think, why me Lord, why would you do this to someone. These people feel cheated and betrayed by God. They see everyone else living a blessed life and they are like a peace of garbage. It is hard living as a person with no value, just a nuisance in this world. A feeling like the world would be better off without you. They wonder what they ever did to deserve being born, much like Job did.
Job 3
3 Let the day perish wherein I was born, and the night in which it was said, There is a man child conceived.
4 Let that day be darkness; let not God regard it from above, neither let the light shine upon it.
5 Let darkness and the shadow of death stain it; let a cloud dwell upon it; let the blackness of the day terrify it.
Job cursed the day he was born. God was so far from him, he felt utterly hopeless. There are people out there right now who feel like job did. I have many times cursed the day I was born. It just make no sense to me. I get put here to suffer, while God is glorified in heaven. Many people feel the same way. They think life is a one sided deal, where God always wins and they always loose. The odds are always stacked against them, yet they are suppose to praise God. This is a tall order for even the most dedicated Christian. To many tragedies and losses pile up and they start getting angry with God.
There is another group of people afflicted by God, they are the disobedient. After getting saved, they decided to live for this world instead of God. I fall in this category. They all want to live for the pleasures of this world and do not care about God. Most heretics will say this is impossible, but the bible says otherwise.
II Timothy 4
10 For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.
Demis was a saved disciple. He was serving the Lord with the Apostle Paul. He was then ensnared by the pleasures of this world and quit serving God. I have no doubt that God caught up with old Demis after a while and it wasn't pretty. When a person is saved, they are called to serve God. Disobeying this call has severe consequences. The chasten of the Lord is the result of this disobedience. When God begins Chastening a person it may never end. Other times it will eventually end when the person starts living for the Lord.
Psalms 119
66 Teach me good judgment and knowledge: for I have believed thy commandments.
67 Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word.
68 Thou art good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes.
God will destroy a persons life to get them back into his will for there life. This chastisement is the most painful thing a person can go through. Just like the people I spoke of earlier, these people fell like God has abandoned them. They may have changed their ways and be doing everything they can to live right, but God will not help them. This is the most frustrating feeling. Like being used and betrayed.
We all want God to do what we want. God however does things his way. There is nothing anyone can really do about it. If God wants something to be so, then it shall be so. This does not sit well with most people. We all want everything to be fair and it feels like God is not being fair. We have to learn to accept things the way they are. This is extremely difficult for most people. There are people who are really struggling every day and just a simple blessing could change their whole life. God knows what we need, and to get us there, some times it is going to hurt. We must figure out a way to humble ourselves and always keep our eyes on God, not the world. This is hard when Satan constantly reminds us of what God did to us. We are in a war. War is always stressful and painful. It all seems so unnecessary, but God has a plan for all of us. What God does not give you in this life, he will give you that much more in eternity. This can be of little comfort to a person who has been a laughing stock their whole life. They may think how can I ever be happy after what I have been through. I wonder some times if I will make it. I have twice planned a suicide and I can not say that I will not go through with it one day. It can all seem like to much to bare. I hold on to hope that one day this will all be over with. I hope anyone out there struggling can also hold on to this hope.
God expects us to suffer in this life. Jesus suffered on the cross for all of us. God expects us to suffer like he did. I wish it was any other way. We must be strong in the fight. We must expect to suffer and we must learn to live with it. Life here is not only about Joy and peace, that is waiting in heaven. Live for God with all your heart it will minimize the suffering you go through. I work everyday at this, usually falling short. I hope you fair better than me. There are storms ahead be prepared for them.
I hope you enjoyed this article. If you are not a Christian, I invite you to get saved now. Tomorrow may be to late. To get saved all you have to do, is admit that you are a sinner and that Jesus Christ died for your sins. The only way to take away sins is with the pure shed blood of Jesus Christ. Good works can not take away sins. If they could, then Jesus Christ died in vain. Jesus died, was buried, and rose from the dead as payment for all sins. Once you believe that, you are saved forever. You did nothing to earn it and you can do nothing to lose it.
Galatians 2
16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
Ephesians 2
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
I Corinthians 15
1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
