What Must I Do To Be Saved

Many people ask this question looking for salvation. The problem is that the clear answer is so hard to find. There are millions of roads to hell and only one road to heaven. Finding that one road in this world in very difficult. Satan has come up with endless ways to lead people away from God. He has set up the entertainment industry, internet, and sports to keep people lost. Anyone that is actually seeking God, the devil has his people in the church to lead them away from Christ. That brings us to the point of this article, Jesus Christ. Jesus is the only way to salvation.

John 14

6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 10

9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

Salvation from hell comes by believing in Jesus death, burial, and resurrection. Jesus shed his blood as payment for all of our sins.

I Corinthians 15

1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

We are all sinners in need of a savior. Even the "best" people on the planet are filthy sinners in the eyes of God. If we die without our sins being forgiven, we can not get to heaven. Jesus is the only way to forgive sins, he is the way, the truth, and the life-John 14:6. The popular misbelief is that if someone is a "good" person, they will get to heaven. This is a lie from hell. Again, the devil doesn't want anyone to get saved, so he creates lies about how to get to heaven. He lets people think that God is like them and if someone is a good person that God will let them into heaven. Nothing could be further from the truth. Here is Gods simple plan of salvation known as the Roman road.

Romans 3

10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 6

23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 5

8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 10

13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

The true plan of salvation is so easy. It is just as easy to understand the free gift of salvation as it is to understand being a good person. It would not be unreasonable in a "Christian" nation to teach the gospel in school. Why after hundreds of years did this nation take Christianity out of schools? Easy, the devil doesn't want any one to know how to get saved.

We established that salvation is through Jesus Christ, but is salvation permanent? Can a person lose their salvation? The answer is no, they can not. Once a person is saved they are sealed by the Holy Spirit and can't lose their salvation. Their is no sin a person can commit after being saved that can take away their salvation. Jesus blood is good enough to wash away all sins past, present, and future. All of our sins were in the the future when Jesus died on the Cross. Despite what some people say, we do not have to persevere to the end to stay saved.

Ephesians 1

13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

Ephesians 4

30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

There you have it, what you must do to be saved. I hope I laid it out for you as plainly as possible. If you have any questions please comment below.
