Their Savior is Their Behavior

The children of God are to act a certain way. They are suppose to stand out in this world. If anyone is born again people should know it. People knew that Christ was different, they should see all believers in the same light. The term Christian means, Christ ones or little Christs. We should be as Christ like as possible.
When a person gets saved, they should strongly consider serving the Lord. First off, to get saved all a person has to do is believe that Christ died for their sins. Jesus died on a cross, was buried, and rose form the dead as payment for all sins. No good works or repenting of sins can ever get anyone to heaven. Once a person gets saved they have a choice. They can either obey God or disobey God. The bible is very clear on all of this. The Old Testament is full of stories of people that obeyed God and disobeyed God. Obedience to God will result in blessings and disobedience to God will result in chastening. The bible is full of these stories. If God will do it for them, he will do it for you. Acts 10:34- Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: God does not care who you are he will bless you or chasten you based on your obedience.
God really wants all of his people to go out into the world and preach the gospel. He wants us to tell people how to get saved. God does not want anyone to burn, that is why he needs his people to witness to lost people and save them from hell. God can not do the job himself, that is why he needs us to do it. As a token of his appreciation, God will bless and reward anyone who is willing to take on the task.
God also wants us to get the sin out of our lives. He wants us to be a light in a world of darkness. God's goal for all people is to make them as much like Jesus Christ as he can. He wants us to live sanctified lives, to back up our claims about God. People see changed lives and they will think that there is something to this Christian thing. When a person lives like the world, their testimony isn't very strong. They appear as hypocrites. People may think, these people are suppose to be good and this person acts just like me. Also, sinful behavior promotes sinful behavior and God hates sin. We should promote that which is good. God wants us living set apart lives close to him. When you are close to God you want to be on your best behavior. Like when you are driving in your car and you see a police officer, you usually check to see how fast your going. You may also check if your seat belt is on. Your behavior changes around an authority figure who can punish you. God can punish you, if you don't act right.
How do you get close to God? Through his word, you get close to him. The King James Bible has everything that God expects of you. How you are to conduct yourself and live your life, is in that book. The bible is not something you read once and never look at again. You're suppose to read it daily. I read my bible every morning. I have ADD and dyslexia, but I still do my best to read God's word. I struggle with focus and comprehension, but I do it anyways. This allows me to have fellowship with God. God has specific commands, reading his word and spreading the gospel are two of them. Another command of God is prayer. We are to pray to God everyday. It is how we communicate to him and God communicates to us through his word. Prayer brings us closer to God. It is through his word and prayer that we draw closer to God and he draws closer to us. We should have more to do with God than with this world. The more time we spend with God, the more we act like him. Have you ever heard how people act like the people they spend the most time with? If you spend all your time in the world, you will act like the world. If you spend all your time with God, you will act like God. Now I understand that people have hobbies and interests that they enjoy. It is ok to have those things, but the majority of a believers time should be spent on God. This brings believers closer to God and brings about blessings and rewards in heaven.
If a person serves God and lives for him, they will receive blessings in this life as well as rewards in heaven. God wants to bless all his people. He wants them to live the ideal life filled with joy and peace. He will give that to all who obey him. The lost people live for the things of this world, yet the world always leaves them wanting more; more drugs, more money, etc.. God on the other hand fulfills his people and leaves them content and wanting for nothing. This should be the goal of every believers life, serving God and receiving their best life. There will also be immense reward in heaven weighting for them, which is the ultimate blessing. Now on the other hand believers can disobey God and be disciplined for it. This has been my life and let me tell you, it has been a living hell for over two decades. God will make it so bad, that you will never want to live that sinful life ever again. Did you like receiving discipline as a child? I bet you can remember some spankings right now. I hated being punished as a child, I would shudder when my father came home. God's discipline is far far worse than what your parents did to you as a child. He will ruin your life and leave you destitute and a laughing stock. It is so bad, that it will not even seem real.
We must learn to leave this world behind and embrace the things of God. Serving God is the most important thing a person could ever do. It is what each one of us was put here to do. We all have a mission here on earth, some people do it and some people don't. The ones who carry out their mission are the true winners. Do you want to be a winner or a loser? Giving up this world is very hard. It is full of pleasure, prestige, sensuality, popularity, fun, excitement, etc.. God understands that you are giving up all these pleasurable thing for him and he will bless you. Do your best to live for him and spread the good news of free salvation through Jesus Christ. Think of all the people you will help save from an eternity in hell.
I hope you enjoyed this article. If you are not a Christian, I invite you to get saved now. Tomorrow may be to late. To get saved all you have to do, is admit that you are a sinner and that Jesus Christ died for your sins. The only way to take away sins is with the pure shed blood of Jesus Christ. Good works can not take away sins. If they could, then Jesus Christ died in vain. Jesus died, was buried, and rose from the dead as payment for all sins. Once you believe that, you are saved forever. You did nothing to earn it and you can do nothing to lose it.
Romans 1
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
Acts 16
30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
32 And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.
Galatians 2
16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
Ephesians 2
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
