The Rapture

I am hearing more and more about the rapture of the church, so I thought I would write about it. This time last year I wasn't hearing as much about the rapture. Right now, on the other hand, all I am hearing is that we are running out of time. A lot of respectable preachers, who aren't date setters, are saying time is running out. That seems to be the predominant message that I am hearing. When God is preparing to do something, big I think that he moves in peoples hearts and lives. Some of you reading this don't know what the rapture is, so let me explain it to you.

The rapture of the church is when Jesus comes and take all the Christians up to heaven. First the dead saints and then the living.

I Thessalonians 4

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

The verses above describe the rapture. It is never referred to as the rapture, that is just a name assigned to it. The way it works is Jesus descends down from heaven, with a shout and a trumpet blast. Then in a moment the dead Christians go up to heaven, followed by the living Christians. This all happens in a split second. In heaven their will be a great marriage feast.

I Corinthians 15

51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Luke 17

34 I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.

35 Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

36 Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

Most Christians believe that the rapture is real. However there is debate over when the event will take place. Some say it will be before the tribulation begins. Others say it is at the mid point of the tribulation. Still others say that it is at the end of the tribulation. I personally believe that it happens before the tribulation begins. My reasoning is that the church is mentioned throughout the New Testament and until chapter 3 in the book of revelation. After chapter 3 the church is never mentioned again. At that point, God goes back to finishing his covenant with Israel to bring about the Messiah. This change in program is to me a natural point for the the rapture to occur. Others have their reasoning to support their timing of the rapture. Also, the bible says that all people will be forced to take the mark of the beast and anyone who does will go to hell. If Christians were around for this and one took the mark, what would happen? Would they go to heaven or hell? I believe the age of grace ends with the rapture before the tribulation begins. After the rapture, all people left behind that get saved can loose their salvation if they take the mark of the beast. This could be completely wrong, but enough people believe and support it, that I feel it is valid.

I became concerned when the covid-19 global lockdown went into affect. This set off alarms in my mind that something very wrong was happening. Soon I had temperature scanners held up to my head every time I walked into a store. Now their are machines that take your temperature. These machines are preparing people for the mark of the beast. They will have to have their forehead or hand scanned in order to buy anything when the mark of the beast goes into affect. Governments are gaining more and more control over their citizens. An authoritarian system is being set up that the anti-christ will eventually take over and all must submit to him.

How will they explain the disappearance of millions of people around the world after the rapture. Over 100 million people around the world will vanish without a trace. Loved ones will be frantic trying to find them and wondering what happened. Their will be missing persons posters everywhere. For decades Preachers have been saying that the media and the government will say it was an alien abduction. This July the pentagon finally admitted that UFO's are in fact not from this world. This was ground breaking news. Since the 1940's the US government has denied the existence of UFO's. Now the public is aware that these aliens are real. I feel that right before the rapture, the news media will be talking about aliens a lot. It is my belief that the news media, entertainment industry, and the government are controlled by Satan. This is shocking to some, but it is what I believe.

The world is falling apart. Civil unrest is running rampant. Economies are on the brink of collapse. World war 3 is on the horizon. China will go to war with the United States, they do not fear us. The world is ripe for the rapture. I personally think it will be this fall, but I could be wrong. I think that it will coincide with a stock market collapse, that will set off a devastating chain of events. We will just have to wait and see.

I hope you enjoyed this article. If you are not a Christian, I invite you to get saved now. Tomorrow may be to late. To get saved all you have to do, is admit that you are a sinner and that Jesus Christ died for your sins. The only way to take away sins is with the pure shed blood of Jesus Christ. Good works can not take away sins. If they could, then Jesus Christ died in vain. Jesus died, was buried, and rose from the dead as payment for all sins. Once you believe that, you are saved forever. You did nothing to earn it and you can do nothing to lose it. God bless.

Ephesians 2

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Titus 3

5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Romans 5

8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

I John 5

13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
