How do I know I am Saved

Updated: Apr 8, 2021

So how how does some one know they are saved? Are they suppose to get a certain feeling upon salvation? Do they need to spend their life working towards it? Is there anyway to know if a person is really saved from going to hell? The answer is yes you can have assurance that you are going to heaven. No one needs to fret over weather they are saved or not. I will explain in detail how to know that you are saved.

John 5:24 - Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

John 3:36 - He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Do you see how both of these verses talk about believing? Believing is another word for faith. Well what is faith then and how does it pertain to the life of a believer? Lets take a look at the King James Bible and see what it says.

Hebrews 11:1 - Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Faith is simply believing in things you have never seen. Hebrews 11 is a great chapter on faith. Every person is given a measure of faith, but what should you have faith in? The Bible says, you have to have faith in the gospel to get to heaven. What is the gospel?

I Corinthians 15

1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Ephesians 2

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

The apostle Paul lays out Gods plan of salvation so clearly hear. I Corinthians 15:3& 4 - states that the gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ, as payment for our sins. Verse 2 says we are saved once we believe. Ephesians 2:8&9 - also says we are saved by grace through faith. Grace is the gift of God, who sent his son to die for our sins. Satan does not want people to know how to get to heaven. He fills the world with lies and pastors who preach a false gospel. The gospel is good news, we have assurance of going to heaven if we simply believe. Hell is a painful horrific place that God does not want anyone to go to. He gave everyone the chance to escape that place by putting our faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ. God did not make hell for people, it was designed for Satan and his angles. If people do not seek God and believe the gospel, they are the children of Satan and have to go to hell with him. God's children all believed the gospel and have been saved from that place. It is not a continuous work that must be earned, it is just believing. It is a one time event, the moment you believe, you have eternal life and can not loose it. There is no feeling you get or voice in your head.

Is there a change in your life? Yes, you can serve God or live like everyone else, and your life will change. If you serve God he will bless you and his light will shine through you. People will know you are a Christian. You can also live like everyone else, in sin. This will bring about the chastening of the Lord. He will mess up your life and destroy you, until you change and serve him. He can even kill you if you don't change your ways. I think this is the turn off of getting saved. Not being able to live as you please and enjoy all the sumptuous pleasures of this world. Nothing in this world is worth burning in hell for ever. If you are not saved or have doubts, please put your faith in the gospel and have eternal life. Thank you for reading my blog and I hope this was a blessing to you.
