Gods Mercy and Mass Shootings

Gods mercy on this country is pulling away. The cause of this is sin. A nation that is filled with pride over it's sin. So much so that there are parades and an entire month dedicated to gay pride. Both of which are grievous sins in the eyes of God. God burned down Sodom and Gomorrah for homosexuality and pride ultimately got the angel Lucifer cast out of heaven. These are just a few of the many sins that have permeated our society. Drugs are a big one. Most states have legalized marijuana. Now, certain cities are making all drugs legal, saying they don't have the money or the man power to control the problem. There are a lot of good time sins going on, like partying. Every weekend millions of people go out to get wasted with their friends. It is not enough to just have a few drinks, they need to get bombed on alcohol and take drugs. Some of these people never make it home, they die and wake up in hell. What a horrifying moment that must be. Along with all the alcohol and drugs comes rampant fornication. This is like a sport for these people. Unfortunately their are consequences for this fun, like disease and pregnancy. Now the diseases can not always be done away with, but the pregnancies can. Every year there are close to a million abortions in the United States. Since 1973 their have been over 63 million abortions in the United States. I got a little queezy doing the research on that number. People are more and more becoming obsessed with self. The notion of fame in this day and age has lost some of it's prestige. Literally anyone can become famous from social media, no talent required. There are girls right now making a living off of their butt. The guys are doing the same with flashing money and status. I listened to a sermon yesterday where the preacher said "in the last 20 to 30 years, he didn't even know of 5 churches in his area that preached the gospel". There used to be King James Bible preaching churches all over the United States. Preaching the gospel to the masses. People would here the message and bring it out on the streets. Street preaching and winning souls to Christ. This is the way God wanted it. God in turn blessed our nation richly. The problem is that over the years and decades, people more and more turned away from God, and towards all the riches of this world. This blessed nation became a playground of debauchery.

The baby boomers were the first generation to really turn against Jesus Christ, and I blame their parents. They let there kids get away with anything. They allowed the Bible and prayer to be taken out of the schools. They replaced God in the home with TV and music. This would have dire consequences. The more America plunged deeper and deeper into sin, the more things began to fall apart. This brings us to the topic of this post, mass shootings. Mass shooting started to show up around the roaring 20's, how surprising. Initially they were mafia or protest related. there would be 2 0r 3 mass shootings a decade, with a few being perpetrated by crazed gunmen. The 1950's would only have 1 mass shooting incident. The 1960's represented a turning point in this nation. America was becoming liberated, sex, drugs, and rock and roll were taking over. With sex, drugs, and rock and roll, comes murder, violence, and mayhem. Sin is sin and it always comes as a package deal. The mass shootings shot up that decade to 6 events. These were more of the gruesome crazed gunmen kind. One of the most famous was the University of Texas tower shooting in 1966, a year before the summer of love. A marine sharp shooter shot 46 people killing 15. The police eventually shot him. By the 1970's America had gone done the sewer morally. Some of the biggest movies of the decade were pornography. Sex and drugs were running rampant, the home was being destroyed, and crime was on the rise. The 70's saw 14 mass shooting incidents. This decade saw even more crazed gunmen, some were truly macabre, like the Amityville Horror incident. This decade also, saw a rise in serial killers. The 1980's was even worse, major cities had become gang war zones, hard drugs had become an epidemic, and a new sexually transmitted disease threatened to kill millions. The peace loving 60's were over and the hippies became yuppies. Money and greed drove society, plunging many into poverty along the way. Serial killers would hit a peak this decade and mass shootings would again hit new highs. 22 mass shooting events in total that decade. It should now be pretty apparent that Gods judgement was coming upon this nation. In all God's grace however he still blessed this country. The 1990's had dozens of mass shootings. There was a shift to a more hardened way of life from what I remember. Kids had completely lost their innocence by this point. Divorce was common, along with teen pregnancies, and filth on TV. The worst mass shooting of the decade, happened on April 20, 1999 at Columbine High School in Colorado. 39 people were shot and 15 died, and from all accounts these gunmen were targeting Christians. I believe this was a sign from God, ending the worst century in US history and the the end of the second millennium. I do not believe God wanted these boys to commit such a crime. I believe that his mercy pulled back and he allow Satan to go to work. God did the same thing to Israel in the Old Testament. These two boys were just Satan's puppets. The 2000's again saw a rise in Mass Shootings. Some of the worst were The Virginia tech shooting where 50 people were shot and 33 died, and the Washington DC sniper who shot 27 and killed 17. This decade also saw the 911 terrorist attack and the 2008 housing market collapse (great recession). the 2010's saw a massive spike in mass shootings, hundreds of events occurred. Some days saw multiple events taking place. There was an evil spirit taking over this country. It had been decades since strong Christian homes were the norm. Now drugs were legal and so was gay marriage. Marriage was instituted by God. Freaks were pushing transgenderism on the youth by the end of the decade. America was becoming a killing field. People had rejected God and his ways, and he was pulling away from this country. The 2020s have seen Covid 19, many mass shootings, and out right lawlessness. This country is doomed.

God is preparing to take all the Christians and leave here in the rapture. The Holy Spirit will not protect this world any more. The bible refers to the Holy Spirit as a restrainer 2 Thessalonians 2:6-7. When the Holy Spirit leaves, demons will be in charge of this world. The events referenced above will be nothing compared to what is coming. Now is the time to come to Jesus Christ. It is simple, just believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for your sins and rose from the grave. You can do nothing to earn your way to heaven, the only way to get there is by putting your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. I have included some scriptures on salvation below.

I Corinthians 15

1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Ephesians 2

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

John 3

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
