In this day and age it is hard to get the simple truth about Jesus Christ and how to get saved from hell. The bible says broad is the way that leads to destruction. This rings very true in modern Christianity. There are a million roads that lead people to hell and only one that leads to heaven. The only way to heaven is putting your faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ as payment for your sins. The devil does not want anybody to learn this truth. Anyone that desires to get saved and learn about Jesus Christ, Satan will do whatever he can to steer them away from the truth. His number one concern is church. He has done his best to corrupt the word of God and prevent people from getting saved. He has introduced over 200 false bibles into church and does whatever he can to keep the real bible (The king James) out of church. He also has his preachers, that teach a false gospel. These come in all different styles from pious Catholics to glamorous prosperity preachers. They all have one thing in common, they all lead people to hell.
II Corinthians 11
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
I Timothy 4
1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
Lets take a look at some of the most popular false gospels. First lets start with Calvinism. The Calvinists teach that the only way to heaven is by being predestinated. They say that only a select few people are chosen by God from the beginning of the world. They say that God knows the heart of these people and that is how they are saved. They are called to do good works as proof that they are saved. This ideology is taken from twisting individual scriptures and forming a religion around it. Stay away from this.
Next, lets take a look at the prosperity preachers. These people preach a message that God wants everyone to be healthy and rich. Think Kenneth Copeland, Creflo Dollar, Joel Osteen, etc.. They don't even really preach about heaven. To them the only thing that matters is this life. They are constantly pre-occupied with wealth and prosperity. These men are scam artists. They always promise whatever money someone gives to God, they will get back 10 or 100 times more. People buy into this and give these men millions of dollars every year. This is unbiblical and does nothing, but make these men rich. If God wanted us to be rich in this life, wouldn't Jesus have been rich when he was here? God does not care if we are rich or poor. He wants us to serve him, and if we become rich some how, then give God the glory.
19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Then we have the works gospel preachers. These come in many different denominations, but they are all pretty much the same. They say that in order to be saved, a person must do good to earn it. They more or less say that if you stop sinning you can get to heaven. This doctrine is again taken from twisting individual scriptures and making a religion out of it. This is straight from hell and defeats the whole reasons Jesus came to this world. This gospel puts man above God and puts God into mans debt. This appeals to men's egos and cuts God out of their life.
6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
Then there are also major cults, like the Mormons, the 7th day Adventists, and the Jehovah's witnesses. All of these cults have there own books and teachings. They teach bizarre doctrines. Everything from attacking the deity of Christ, to made up characters, and made up promises from God. It is all lies from the pit of hell. Stay away from these cults at all costs.
Lastly, we have the charismatic church who are obsessed with miracle gifts given to the early Jewish church. These gifts stopped in the first century during the lives of the 12 apostles. In the Charismatic church these "gifts", are supposedly signs from God, that he is in their life. I guess this means they are saved and not going to hell. Like the prosperity crowd, these people are obsessed with this life and what they can get out of it. God to these people is an emotional experience, God is something they feel. Again this ideology comes from twisting individual scriptures and forming a religion out of it. This like all the others is straight from hell.
There are countless other false gospels being preached out there and I just figured I would cover a few of the major ones. Anyone who says there is any other way to heaven other than through Jesus Christ, run away from them.
I hope you enjoyed this article. If you are not a Christian, I invite you to get saved now. Tomorrow may be to late. To get saved all you have to do, is admit that you are a sinner and that Jesus Christ died for your sins. The only way to take away sins is with the pure shed blood of Jesus Christ. Good works can not take away sins. If they could, then Jesus Christ died in vain. Jesus died, was buried, and rose from the dead as payment for all sins. Once you believe that, you are saved forever. You did nothing to earn it and you can do nothing to lose it.
I Corinthians 15
1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
