Emerging Church

The Bible is not considered an accurate, absolute, authoritative, or authoritarian source but a book to be experienced and one experience can be as valid as any other can. Experience, dialogue, feelings, and conversations are equated with Scripture while certitude, authority, and doctrine are to be eschewed! No doctrines are to be absolute and truth or doctrine must be considered only with personal experiences, traditions, historical leaders, etc. The Bible is not an answer book.

Brian D. McLaren

A while back I did an article on the Laodicean church age. There is no better example of this age than the emerging Church. What makes the emerging church unique? It is a church without rules, how nice. This movement is not even that old but it has swept around the world. The emerging church first started in the 1970's, though it had been developing for over 100 years. At it's core it seeks to replace the Bible with man made ideas. It embraces post-modernism. Where universal truths are called into question, morality is called into question. this is done through skepticism and intellect, putting man's intelligence above God's.

The way the emerging church got started, was when a group of advertising executives got together to find a way to sell Christianity to the masses. What they were really selling was a church that all people would go to. They would go door to door and ask people if they went to church. If they said yes, then the men would thank them for it. If they said no, they would ask them why not? Then the people would give reasons why. After awhile, all the information was gathered and the most important desires of the people were brought into the church service. A service that was designed to please people. Ultimately people wanted church to look like the world. The Bible is against such a thing. We are suppose to bring the church into the world not the other way around. People wanted to go to church for entertainment and not have a lot of rules put on them. Church would be a multi-sensory experience with colorful lights, worldly music, projection screens, etc.. People would be immersed into this false reality and mistake it for a religious experience, drawing closer to God. Church would not be about worship, bible study, and learning the truth about God. Instead it would be an emotional experience. People mistaking their emotional experience for God. The true God would be eliminated from the worship service and he would be replaced with a false god. A God that is all inclusive. Yes all religions are accepted.

Exodus 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. This is the first commandment of God. In the emerging church all you have to do is combine Jesus Christ with whatever religion you choose, and it is ok (blaspheme). This is setting the world up for the coming one world religion, where the world will worship the Anti-Christ. The God of the emerging church is a type of Anti-Christ.

Right now, new age mysticism disguised as Christianity is replacing atheism. The world is becoming more spiritual. Satan wants it that way, so people will worship him one day. The emerging church also promotes meditation and yoga. Yoga is actually Hindu prayer. Meditation is used to tap into the spirit world. It can make a person a vessel for demons. Under all of these false teachings, pastors like Rick Warren, Rob Bell, Mark Driscoll, and Brian McLaren, say that it is nearly impossible to go to hell. In there eyes, all roads lead to heaven and escaping Gods Grace is almost impossible. This contradict the Bible, the only way into heaven, is Jesus Christ, he is the straight gate. Matthew 7:13-14 13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

The emerging church has always seemed to focus on the youth. The services seemed to be geared toward young people. These people have not yet formed ideas on who Jesus is. This is because the old paths have been destroyed and this new form of Christianity is sold to them in mass via technology. This deception being perpetrated on young people is straight out of hell. Satan has made church cool. He wants people to go to church, he wants them to one day worship him.

The emerging church also teaches a doctrine called post millennialism. Post millennialism teaches that humans will create Gods kingdom on earth and there will be peace for 1,000 years and at the end, Christ will return. This is the Satanic doctrine of a manmade utopia and is completely against God and his Holy word. The bible says that Jesus Christ will set up his kingdom on earth for 1000 years and reign over it in peace.

I hope this article was a blessing to you. If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your savior, I invite you to do so now. It is simple just acknowledge that you are a sinner, and believe that Jesus died for your sins. Jesus Christ paid for all the sins of the world when he died on the cross and rose from the dead. Only by Jesus Holy blood, can your sins be forgiven. Your good works can never take away your sins. God bless.

Ephesians 2

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Galatians 2

16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Romans 3

23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
