Drugs: A Gateway for Demons

1 Peter 5:8 - Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
Drugs are not what most people think they are. The popular belief is drugs are just chemicals that make people feel good. People carelessly use them to party and just have fun with. Society understands the dangers behind drugs and that they can ruin peoples lives. What people don't understand about drugs is that they are doorway for demons to enter into peoples lives. If you mix secular music, with drugs, and demon spirits you have recipe for disaster. Myself and others believe that music helps fuel drugs and increases its ability to call demons into peoples lives. The more hardcore the music and the more hardcore the drugs the more drawings power they have to summon demons. Young people are particularly vulnerable to this trap. Satan has designed a system for the youth, to snare them with drugs and music. All music these days seems geared toward the youth. In fact all popular culture seems geared toward the youth. This is all by design to keep these young people from ever finding Christ. If Satan can corrupt their minds when they are young and impressionable, then he will have them for life. When it comes to salvation, the best time to get saved is when a person is young. The older someone gets, the further they get from God. This is why the bible and prayer were taken out of school. What replaced them was sex, drugs, and rock and roll. This must happen for Satan to gain a strangle hold on this world in order to take it over, with his man Anti-Christ. There can not be a strong Christian nation influencing the world and bringing Christ into the forefront. The demonic powers would loose their strength and influence in this world. Drugs are a weapon Satan uses to take over this world.
I was lucky, I got saved when I was only 14 years old and was still pretty innocent. I had never done drugs or got drunk, at that time in my life. God's voice was still strong at that time and I believed the gospel and got saved. I had a fear of hell in me. Had I waited another year to get saved, I don't believe I ever would have. God was working on my behalf. After I got saved, I went to high school. I think they call it HIGH school for a reason. This is where most teenagers are first exposed to drugs. I know I was. Drugs seemed so distance and exotic, I never thought I would actually see them. I remember being in shock and a little scared when my friend showed me a bag of marijuana that he had bought the night before. We made bong out of a 2 liter bottle and smoked it in his bedroom. I remember being very paranoid and scared that we were going to get caught. The bedroom reeked like weed and I was extremely high. I do not think I enjoyed it. I remember being glad when it was over. That was the day I lost my innocence and Satan began a work in my life that would have horrifying consequences. I said that if I waited a year to get saved I wouldn't have, that is because after that first high I started smoking weed every chance I got. I believe that Satan would have come into my life and guided me away from God, like he did so many others. Over the ensuing years all I did was smoke weed and drink. It worked out ok for the most part. In the summer of my sophomore year I dropped acid in my room, and my whole world changed. After that, I started really getting into psychedelic music. I bought a bunch of cassette tapes at the mall and got a bunch black light posters for my room. Before, my walls were covered in comic book posters, I was changing for the worse. Junior year all I did was smoke weed in my room, that I transformed into my drug den. It was around this time that these little balls of light started showing up in my house. They were about the size of a marble and blueish-white in color. They would come floating down the hallway, or come bouncing out from under my bed, or just be bouncing around the room. I had seen TV shows about ghosts, where these balls of light were in peoples homes. My dad died a year earlier so I figured that had something to do with it. I now believe these were demons manifesting themselves in my house. I will get to the reason why in a moment. Senior year of high school, I got new cool friends and did more hard drugs like mushrooms and ecstasy. Life was awesome then, I was on top of the world. I was so grateful, I started praying to God thanking him, some times while high. This was the first real contact I had with God since getting saved 4 years earlier. I did not know his commandments, and thought he just wanted me to be happy.
1 Corinthians 3:17 - If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
The following year when community college began, my world shattered. God was sick of all the non-sense and those balls of light (demons) I had seen before came into my life to destroy me. God laid his chastening rod to my back side and those demons went to work. I believe those demons were in me the whole time laying dormant. I believe they were the ones who brought the cool kids into my life and built me up, in order to get me to do more and harder drugs in order to destroy me.
Demons hate Christians and so does Satan. I believe Satan wanted to destroy me the moment I got saved and he set traps for me and I fell into everyone one of them. Messing with drugs as a Christian will have serious consequences. For the unbeliever on the other hand this is often not the case. The demons that come into them want use them to expand Satan's kingdom and spread their influence to those around them. Satan can use these people unimpeded by God. These people in return get to have blessed lives. Yes Satan blesses too, but with sinful delights. These people can revel in this sinful world and live it up. Not so for the Christian. Like me, they can run with the dogs for a little while, but they will fall. There are instances where drugs destroy lost peoples lives and they have to reap the consequences. I am not saying it will be a bed roses for everyone. These demons can try to kill people or destroy their lives if things go on for to long. The most horrifying thing about lost people doing drugs, is that indwelling demons will do everything they can to steer them away from the Lord Jesus Christ and eternal life in heaven.
Messing with drugs for both lost and saved is a bad idea. For the lost, separation from God and a possible destroyed life. For the saved, brutal chastisement from the Lord. The bible refers to drugs as sorcery (pharmakeia in Greek) and drunkenness and warns against it. STAY AWAY!!!!
Romans 13:13 - Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.
Revelation 18:23 - And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.
I hope you enjoyed this article. If you are not a Christian, I invite you to get saved now. Tomorrow may be to late. To get saved all you have to do, is admit that you are a sinner and that Jesus Christ died for your sins. The only way to take away sins is with the pure shed blood of Jesus Christ. Good works can not take away sins. If they could, then Jesus Christ died in vain. Jesus died, was buried, and rose from the dead as payment for all sins. Once you believe that, you are saved forever. You did nothing to earn it and you can do nothing to lose it.
Romans 3
10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Ephesians 2
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
John 3
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
II Timothy 1
9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
Romans 6
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
