99% Saved

Do you have assurance of salvation? Would you feel confident if you knew the bridge you were driving on was 99% safe? I have to wonder how people depending on their good works have any confidence in their salvation, knowing that at anytime they can lose their salvation. Most "Christians" go through their life with this mindset. They say, "as long as I'm good, I will go to heaven". If anyone has this mindset then they are not saved. It is only by Jesus Christ and his shed blood that a person is saved. Jesus was God and he died on the cross to pay for the sins of all people. God the father needed a perfect sacrifice to pay for all sin, so he sent his son to earth to be that sacrifice. The gospel clearly states that if anyone believes that Jesus died, was buried, and rose from the dead, as payment for their sins, then they have eternal life.

I Corinthians 15

1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

If a person does not 100% believe that Jesus paid it all at the cross, then they are 100% unsaved.

There are a lot of false Christian denominations that claim salvation is not through Christ alone. They will teach that it is Jesus Christ plus something else. Like: believe on Christ and do good works, believe on Christ and turn from all your sins, believe on Christ and be water baptized, you are predestinated to go to heaven, you must have a changed life to prove you are saved, etc.. The bible clearly states that, our righteousness is as filthy rags- Isaiah 64:6. Nothing that we do can justify us before God. In order to get to heaven, we will all be judged against the perfect righteousness of Jesus Christ. If a person commits just one sin, that is enough to get them sent to hell. The only acceptable payment for sin is the blood of Jesus Christ. His blood makes us clean.

Titus 3

5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Romans 3

10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 5

8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

Hebrews 9

12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

The real issue at hand is pride. People like to think they are better than others. They like to say look at me I don't live like those people do. People like to think they are good enough. The reality is, no one is good, like Romans 3:10 says. The bible is the authority. Not the pastor of a church. A pastor can be completely wrong about salvation. People may say, "how can you be so sure, when these pastors have spent years studying in college". Well in most "Christian" colleges, they are taught lies. Satan does his best work in the church. He infects the colleges with lies and heresy's and he brings those lies into the church house. Satan does not want anyone to go to heaven. He will do whatever it takes to prevent people from getting there. Pastors that preach a works salvation, are the same as everyone that believe a works salvation, they are filled with pride.

Proverbs 16

18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.

These pastors are lifted up by there education. The bible describes these people as: ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth (II Timothy 3:7). They will learn everything about topics that don't matter for salvation, maybe even speak Greek or Hebrew, but they will never come to the knowledge of salvation. It is to simple and it takes them out of the equation. There will be many "great men of God" burning in hell because they would not put their faith in Jesus Christ alone.

A lot of people who call themselves Christians, needlessly worry about weather or not they will go to heaven. They are 99% sure that they are going, but there is still that nagging 1% inside of them that does not know if they are good enough. They think they are doing good, but they are still unsure at times. A lot of false believers live better lives than me, that isn't that hard, I have lived a wicked life. However, I have assurance that I am going to heaven. Unless those false believers put their whole faith in Christ alone, they will have their place in the lake of fire. Before that, they will make their final plea before the Lord.

Matthew 7

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

I hope you enjoyed this article. If you are not a Christian, I invite you to get saved now. Tomorrow may be to late. To get saved all you have to do, is admit that you are a sinner and that Jesus Christ died for your sins. The only way to take away sins is with the pure shed blood of Jesus Christ. Good works can not take away sins. If they could, then Jesus Christ died in vain. Jesus died, was buried, and rose from the dead as payment for all sins. Once you believe that, you are saved forever. You did nothing to earn it and you can do nothing to lose it.

John 3

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Galatians 2

16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Ephesians 2

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
